Prije 30 godina, Kinezi nisu imali pojma što znači „poznata marka". A tada je u Kinu došao francuski dizajner Pierre Cardin sa svojim novim modelima. Priredio je revije u Pekingu i Šangaju i označio početak otvaranja Kineza prema međunarodnim markama. Ove revije su definitivno označile novu etapu u kineskoj povijesti mode. Nakon što je Pierre Cardin učinio pionirski korak i otvorio kineska vrata ostalima, u proteklih 30 godina su u Kinu ušle sve najveće svjetske marke, a ukus Kineza u odjevanju se postepeno mijenjao. Prave luksuzne marke su se pojavile u Kini 90-tih godina, a Cartier je bio prvi. Međutim, jedan ručni sat te marke je vrijedio čitavu godišnju plaću običnih stanovnika, pa čak i nekolikogodišnjih, u to vrijeme Cartier je većini bio potpuno nedostižan. | |
